Cotton woven is our best seller, it's the Beyonce of fabrics around here.  A midweight cotton that you can use for just about anything.  We have seen dresses and jumpsuits, plant sacks and casserole holders.  There have even been clothes for chicken… that's how versatile this base is.  The artists work is brought to life on this fabric, it truly makes wearable art.

Our Cotton Canvas is excellent for tote bags, cushions, overalls and pinafores.  We pride ourselves on how ‘un-crunchy’ this fabric is, our customers often comment on the soft feel of our canvas and how lovely it is to sew.  Cotton Canvas has no stretch and is slightly textured to touch.

French Terry! Oh my goodness, we would both live in this fabric if we could. Our French Terry makes the most amazing jumpers, track pants and dresses turning all your clothes into secret pjamas. With four way stretch and beautiful vibrant colours, French Terry is warm, cozy and just a beautiful fabric to wear. It washes up just beautifully as well - not a pill in sight!

Bamboo Cotton lycra has a four way stretch and a beautiful drape. Perfect for baby clothes, super comfy undies, t-shirts, leggings and headbands. Washes well and is of course, vibrant, beautiful and soft.

Our Swim fabric is lovely to touch, has a four way stretch and is fast drying. With a rating of SPF 50 and amazing vibrant colours you'll be able to make bathers, rashies, leggings and dancewear. We have amazing makers that have made skirts and tops with swim so your imagination is the limit!

We recommend washing Swim projects you make as soon as possible after swimming in chlorine.  Due to the fabric composition the printed colours will appear more intense and often look slightly different to the colours on our other bases.

Cotton Lycra 220 has a four way stretch and is perfect for t-shirts, shorts, leggings, baby clothes, headbands, dresses, tops or any of your stretch projects. Our cotton Lycra is super comfy to wear and a dream to sew.

Cotton Lycra 300 is slightly thicker and more firm than the 220. It has a four way stretch and is great for thicker t-shirts, leggings, dresses and tops. Our customers have made amazing long sleeve tops out of this fabric as well as some really cute stretch overalls that are apparently perfect to wear for the entire length of a festival. Also perfect for warmer baby clothes, headbands and more supportive undies.

If you’re after a light floaty fabric with a silky feel and a gorgeous drape, we got you. Our cotton sateen,  is 100% cotton with a satin weave.  It is beautiful to sew with and even better to wear.   Perfect for summer dresses, tops, shirts, shorts.  If you need a bit of twirl in your dress then cotton sateen is the fabric for you.

Our Cotton Gauze is a very light sheer fabric with an open weave which makes it perfect for summer scarves or baby swaddles.  It prints slightly sheer so is best suited to unstructured floaty clothing to pop on over something else.

Paapii Organic Ribbing is the softest, stretchiest and comfiest ribbing you will find. We stock a variety of colours for you direct from Europe to add cuffs, neckbands and waistbands to your projects.

The fabric we wished we had in lockdown.  A cozy double pile fabric that's perfect for winter sewing, or anytime sewing if you live here in Melbourne.  Use it in a jumper or tracksuit, we are sure your furry friends would love a dog jumper from it too,  It's also perfect for a toasty pram blanket or a couch throw.

At 260gsm this fabric provides the support you need as well as moisture wicking properties that make excellent leggings or crop tops that you need for high impact activities.   We have heard wearing it makes you run faster so if thats your thing this is the fabric you need.

Get ready to rock the front row of your gym class with this fabric.  Sport knit is a moisture wicking fabric perfect for loose sports tops and activewear t-shirts.  It has a lovely drape and a slight sheen which makes the artwork pop when it's printed.   Now give me a 30 second plank! 

Hello pajamas!  This soft fabric is perfect for soft loungy clothes.  Use it to make pjs or long sleeved tops to layer with.  It's not too heavy, you can wear whatever you make from it all year round.   The fabric has a slight waffle texture to it

This fabric will do all the magic you get from french terry but it’s lighter, with shorter loops and more drape.  Thats a lot of technical words to let you know this base is slightly less snuggly so more suited to wearing and sewing all year round.   Think 3/4 sleeve boxy tops or cropped trackpants.

Did someone say scrunchies?  The 90s are back and so is velvet.  But this is better than the stiff stuff that you used to have to sew with.  Its soft with a slinky short pile and stretch.  Perfect for scrunchies, scrunchie crowns, mega scrunchies….we love scrunchies around here.   Also amazing for evening wear, sew yourself something to be the hit of the party.

This one is pretty self explanatory, most of our customers make boardshorts out of this.  The peachskin fabric is also great for wetbags for the pool but we are stumped after that.  If you have some off the wall boardshort makes (that aren’t boardshorts) we would love to see them.

This fabric is similar to cotton sateen but more breathable for summer.  Another new base that we can’t wait to see out there in the world on your cutting tables.

Also know as viscose this fabric is what drapey dreams are made of.   It feels soft and smooth to wear and the prints come out with a slight sheen that makes the artwork dance on the fabric.  Garments made from rayon will shrink if washed in warm water so please be mindfull of pre treating your fabric.  We would hand wash or a delicate cool machine cycle.

This fabric can do everything you want from either linen or cotton.  Lightweight and breathable for summer clothing the mix of the two fabrics creates a best of both worlds fabric.  The cotton blend gives the fabric a smooth finish so you won’t look like your grabbed your fresh new sewing project from the bottom of the ironing basket when you head out the door.  A brand new base we can’t wait to see what you all make. 

This is one for the outdoors type, it has a super thin layer of fleece on one side and a water repellant outer layer.  Its perfect for a zippered jacket to walk the dogs and probably just what your kids need in a jacket for camp.
